Honda Motorcycle Dealer in Tampa

There are many motorcycle dealers near or in the Tampa Bay area. Today I would like to talk about one in piciticular. Performance Honda of Wesley Chapel, just outside of Tampa. This Honda motorcycle and powerhouse dealer was a cut above the rest in fairness, price and service. Let me tell you my story.

I visited many Honda motorcycle dealers in the Tampa area including Tampa Motorsports, Xtreeme Powersports, and a few others. Although I will not go into specifics on how I was treated at these competing Tampa motorcycle dealers, I will tell you how I was treated at Performance Honda. Their sales department seemed eager to help and they were a very lively group. They didn’t get annoyed when I wanted a better deal, instead made buying my Honda motorcycle fun, entertaining, and easy. They fairly negotiated the deal that made it worth while to purchase from them.  What really struck me about these guys was there attentiveness to their customers, but not to the extent of being pushy. Another great thing was their motorcycle maintenance plans. Overall I did not feel like they were penny pinching and trying to make as much money on me as they could. It seemed like my overall happiness about the deal that I agreed apon was their main concern.

At this Tampa motorcycle dealer I was introduced to a person in every department and was given a complete  walk through on the motorcycle. This Tampa motorcycle dealer definitely went to great lengths for my experience and never will I purchase from another Tampa dealer over Performance Honda. Great job guys… keep up the good work.

The Three-Wheel World Gains Power- PITBOSS

Found this great article on the New Pit boss review from motorcycle.com. I personally had the opportunity to drive this trike in Daytona for Bike Week 2008. John Lehmans himself said “Matt, make sure you’ve taken one of those new Victory’s for a ride to lunch sometime this week”. So i did and I personally loved it. Trike riders are special. They occupy a curious market that’s tricky to define, riding an odd sort of machine that is neither fish nor fowl—not a motorcycle or a car but behaving a bit like both. That niche, however, is growing quickly as interest in the three-wheel world gains momentum.

Lehman’s Victory Kingpin-based Pitboss doesn’t mess around. It is a well-muscled, sleek machine that can attract riders in and out of the traditional trike domain. Finding that irregular market target has been Victory’s forte for the last few years.

The factory’s strategy has focused on vacant niches—be where the competition isn’t. In the ultra-competitive world of motorcycling, this is not a bad idea. The Minnesota OEM has built success on edgy factory customs that are aimed at customers not in other, long-established manufacturers’ crosshairs.

‘The Victory trike was a sneaky left hook right to the kisser.’

Of course, there is some overlap, but Victory chief, Mark Blackwell, has done a nice job slipping and dodging the big body blows of larger OEMs, picking his spots and delivering crisp shots to their nether parts. It’s a tough business out there.

For a company building a reputation on highly styled power cruisers, the idea of adding a three-wheeler to the lineup seemed, well, weird. Trikes are stodgy; they’re for old guys in plaid pants and sensible shoes. But guess what? Old guys dominate motorcycling, especially in the cruiser and touring classes, and we don’t wear plaid except maybe on special occasions when we’re hustling pool at the senior citizen’s home.

Jerry Wohlrabe, a Victory dealer and owner of Prescott Valley, AZ-based Prescott Valley Motorcycles, said the Pitboss is doing a brisk business. “The trikes appeal mostly to the over-50 set. People who feel like their skills may have eroded a little, or have leg problems or just like a ride with a lot of stability. It’s been a cottage industry for quite some time but now they’re taking off and selling in significant numbers.”

DELMARVA (Delaware-Maryland-Virginia) Bike Week is one of the nation’s major motorcycle rallies. This year is it will be held September 11-14, 2008 primarily in Ocean City, MD. Ocean City is located on Maryland’s eastern shore and is a unique vacation beach resort. It is also home to one of the best boardwalks in the country.

Wyked Illuzionz, a premier motorcycle L.E.D. light vendor, who recently launched their new e-commerce website, will be set up at Fish Tales this year to sell and install L.E.D. lights on motorcycles during Delmarva Bike Week. Fish Tales is located on the bay between 21st and 22nd streets at Bahia Marina. They have a dockside restaurant and bar where patrons can watch the fishing boats come in and enjoy the sunsets from either their sandy beach or screened-in area. Bikers know Fish Tales and Fish Tales knows bikers.
